Working in Maine, to Provide Energy for the World - F.E. Wood - Natural Energy

History

Dean and Tony Wood, the original sponsors of FE Wood Natural Energy, have led development of the project to its present day position, unifying leaders from regional government, the forest products industry, as well as the logging and landowner community in support of this new operation.  FEWNE has spent the past two years discussing the project and negotiating potential supply agreements with several international utilities and distributors. Over the past two years, FEWNE has met with all major international and domestic wood pellet customers.

Dean and Tony are co-owners of F.E. Wood & Sons, a fifth generation family-owned sawmill and pallet mill business in West Baldwin, which had produced timbers, boards and hardwood pallets and skids for over 130 years.  Dean brings 32 years of mill operations and logistics management, as well as his outstanding reputation in the fiber harvesting and landowner community, and will enhance logistics and feedstock procurement operations for the facility as Head of Procurement and Logistics.  Tony brings 7 years of business development and process control experience to the project, driving development activities on a day-to-day basis and leading the project development team as CEO.
